Over the past three years, we have had many goes at making some milky drink cups, some even making it to production samples stages only to be rubbished at the last minute. Why? Because that's how the product process goes - sometimes you love an idea until you feel the real thing in your hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStacking cups usually look.. \"stacky\". A bit ugly, robotic, straight angled, or if not - they usually don't stack very well. We decided to go in a different direction. We wanted something that feels organic but stacks mechanically, something that fits together PERFECTLY. Three years later, here they are - and we are super happy with the results. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003e2X PER BOX\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs it is a STACKING cup, we thought it fitting to sell it in a pack of 2. These are currently not sold as single cups.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eORGANIC SHAPE, MECHANICAL FIT\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou won't find a straight angle or sharp transition on this cup, but you also won't find it wobbling, moving, or shaking at all. Our partner factory spent a lot of time to make sure they nailed this design for us - and what may seem simple, just a metal cup, is not really. In fact, we considered changing the name because the \"final\" version had a tiny bit of wobble. Luckily, the engineers tried again, adjusted the moulds and without us asking, made a new improved version that stacked just perfectly as we designed. The best stacking cup in the world does not even look stackable - we are super proud about that. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eMADE OF STAINLESS STEEL\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor this cup, we use two grades of Stainless Steel. The inner is a 316SUS, which is the highest quality of stainless steel available - often used in the medical industry. The outer is 304SUS, which is already the grade used in high-end food-grade products or insulated bottles. We upgraded the inner material because it is even more resistant to acids, corrosion, and it will not impart any \"metallic\" taste whatsoever. As the intention for these cups is to sit with milk and coffee in them, we decided this was the best choice here. The inner is electropolished, which reduces surface roughness\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eand creates a chemically pure and microscopically featureless surface that is highly resistant to bacterial adhesion and friction. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eDOUBLE-WALLED\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe use a double-walled construction, like on our beloved STEEL O1 Brewer, to keep the heat in the drink, and to keep the cup cool to the touch. This cup has a bigger air pocket than our brewers, ensuring even higher insulation and an even cooler outer. It is mind-blowing just how much longer drinks stay warm in this cup compared to similar ceramic cups. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eFOR THE LONDON FLAT WHITE\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur first milky drink cup celebrates the most consumed coffee drink in London - in the size that we like it - 5oz \/ 150ml. While in some countries this could be considered small - it tends to be the standard size of a flatty in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and a lot of specialty cafes around Europe. Many cafes serve this with a single shot of espresso, or a double\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eristretto, but you can also serve it with a double espresso if you want a higher-intensity drink. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eDESIGNED FOR POURING\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe interior of the cup is egg-shaped, not too wide, and not too tall. We decided this was a great balance for what we wanted here, for less of a bowl feeling, but something easy to pour into still. The outer shape is designed with intention to be easy to hold in the palm of the hand while pouring into the cup. The same shape provides a comfortable \"handle\" to hold the cup while drinking. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eFLAT WHITE (+)\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTruthfully, these cups work for so many types of drinks.\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eThey are great for cortados or just espresso (hot or iced). They are a nice alternative for filter coffee and for small matcha drinks. A versatile cup that is space-efficient in your cupboard, with a STAC of 4 taking the same space as a traditional mug. These cups are also great for micro-cuppings, using 7-8 grams of coffee to reduce waste in small cupping sessions or to optimise use for rare, expensive coffees. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch1\u003eSERVICE-READY\u003c\/h1\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDishwasher safe, drop-friendly, and aging well with use.
